Our Year 5 pupils at St. Cuthbert’s Hartlepool embarked on an unforgettable pilgrimage to Lindisfarne, retracing the historic Pilgrim’s Way and following in the footsteps of St. Cuthbert.
Along the route, pupils explored fascinating archaeological sites, admired breathtaking Northumberland coastal views, and even tried their hand at seal spotting! This unique experience gave them a deeper connection to our Christian heritage and the rich history of Holy Island.
The learning didn’t stop there—back at school, pupils channelled their inspiration into writing persuasive pieces, encouraging others to visit the beautiful and historic Lindisfarne. This pilgrimage was not only educational but also a wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen their understanding of faith and heritage.
