The Gardening Club has enjoyed a wonderfully exciting week, and we’re delighted to share our achievements with you!
Our young gardeners have been working incredibly hard, and it’s fantastic to see their confidence growing as they connect with nature and enjoy planting during lunchtimes. Their dedication has not only transformed our garden spaces but has also earned some brilliant recognition.
We are thrilled to announce that we have received the Woodland Trust Silver Award — and we are now very close to reaching Gold! What an amazing accomplishment for our enthusiastic team.
In addition, the club has been awarded Level 1 by the RHS, along with a wonderful gardening book and a collection of seeds to help inspire and support future projects.
Our commitment to caring for the environment doesn’t stop there. Along with many other schools and clubs across the country, we are taking part in the Hedgehog Walk, an initiative run by the Wildlife Trust to raise awareness and funds to support nature. Our nine Gardening Club members are completing a 3km sponsored walk, and in true St Cuthbert’s spirit, they decided to go the extra mile by collecting litter along the way!
The children showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout the challenge, demonstrating teamwork, responsibility, and a real love for the world around them.
Well done to all our Gardening Club members — we are so proud of everything you’ve achieved!
