Caring for Our Community and Environment

Pupils from the School Council at St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool recently took part in a beach clean-up at Seaton Carew Beach, putting their commitment to helping others and caring for the environment into action.

Armed with grabbers and bags, the children worked hard to collect litter and help keep the local coastline clean and welcoming for everyone.

Living Out Catholic Social Teaching

The beach clean-up provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to put the principles of Catholic Social Teaching into practice, particularly by demonstrating what it means to be a good citizen and care for the world around them.

Through their efforts, the children showed responsibility, respect and a strong sense of community, helping to protect the environment while making a positive contribution to their local area.

Outstanding Ambassadors for the School

The pupils approached the task with enthusiasm and determination and were excellent ambassadors for St Cuthbert’s throughout the visit.

Everyone at the school is incredibly proud of their hard work and commitment to making a difference.

Well done to our School Council members for setting such a positive example and helping to care for God’s creation.
