Our KS1 children enjoyed an exciting day learning all about why maths is important and how it helps us in everyday life.

As part of their learning, the children explored the work of some famous mathematicians, discovering how their ideas have helped shape the world around us. They also discussed the many ways we use maths every day, from telling the time and shopping to cooking and travelling.

The fun didn't stop there! The children put their counting skills to the test with some energetic Rockstar Counting, showing great enthusiasm and confidence as they practised their number skills.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to see that maths is all around us and plays an important role in our daily lives.
